    ARIA Popular Classical Music

We are inching ever-closer to our goal of providing you with live presenters bringing you the music you love, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 52 weeks a year.  We now feel able to commit to at least four hours of hosted music every morning (central US time) between 7am and 11am, and possibly extending to noon on some days as an unscheduled bonus.  (Of course the music plays even when someone isn’t presenting it in person, so please listen to us all day every day!)

Getting all the way to 24/7/365 is a lofty goal, and it is common for many stations, whatever type of music they broadcast, to have just automated music playing for perhaps six hours each night (typically midnight – 6am).

But because we serve the world and all its 24 time zones (well, to be more pedantic, there are actually 38 time zones, including several with 30 minute offsets and one with a 45 minute offset) we want to eventually have people hosting, presenting, introducing, and talking about the music we play at all hours of everyone’s day and night.

Our morning host is David Rowell.  We have a second person looking at possibly doing a shift at other times of day, and that is being progressed currently, and if you know people who might be great choices to join us as volunteers, please have them get in touch with us.

And – oh yes.  All of this unavoidably costs money.  If you feel you comfortably can help, your support will be truly impactful in helping us grow our hours of live hosting.  We’ve set a notional cost of $10 for each hour of live hosting – of course there are many other costs too, this is just the extra cost of the live hosting.  With 168 hours a week and 8,760 hours a year this is a cost of almost $1,700 a week and $90,000 a year.  Even an hour or two of help inches us further to this goal.  You can support by clicking this link to our support page.

Thank you for being a listener, and perhaps a supporter too!
